Dandelion extract

-Dandelion is a source of various nutrients and biologically active substances. Its root and leaves contain vitamins (A, K, C and B complex), minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc and iron), micronutrients, fiber, lecithin and choline.

-The roots of this plant are thought to primarily accelerate digestion. Additionally, the roots are often used as a liver tonic by stimulating bile production and removing toxins and restoring hydration and electrolyte balance. Dandelion leaves can be used successfully as a digestive stimulant and diuretic.

-It supports intestinal health by increasing intestinal morphology, intestinal immunity, antioxidant enzyme activities, regulating relevant gene expression and improving intestinal barrier function.

pineapple extract

-Pineapple contains a group of digestive enzymes known as bromelain. They function as proteases, breaking down protein molecules into building blocks such as amino acids and small peptides. Once protein molecules are broken down, they are more easily absorbed in the small intestine. This is particularly useful in animals with pancreatic insufficiency, a condition in which the pancreas cannot produce enough digestive enzymes.

-Bromelain has the ability to break down tough meat proteins.

Pumpkin Seeds (Cucurbita Pepo)

Pumpkin seeds are rich in protein, unsaturated fatty acids, phytosterols, vitamin E, essential minerals such as Zn, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu and P. Pumpkin seed oil has antimicrobial, antioxidant, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, anticancer, antimutagenic and antihypertensive effects. Pumpkin seed oil, which is reported to have antimicrobial activity against various microorganisms, is frequently used in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industries.

Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)

Dried leaves of this plant are also used to heal wounds faster and to treat eczema and herpes. Additionally, the plant contains a bitter substance that is non-toxic and appetizing to increase secretion. The plant has long been used as an appetite stimulant, especially due to its pungent odor. Many studies have been conducted on the antimicrobial activities of Artemisia species. Wound infection is one of the common complications in patients undergoing surgery. The most common cause of surgical wounds is S.aureus, which is found especially in gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria. An in vivo study showed that topical application of A. absinthium extract to infected wound sites produced significant antibacterial activity against S. aureus. It has also been used as an antipyretic, antiseptic, anthelmintic, tonic and diuretic, and to treat stomach aches.

Clove plant (Syzygium aromaticum L.)

It is known to have rich content in bioactive components such as glycosides, saponins, flavonoids, steroids, tannins, alkaloids and terpenes. It also contains significant amounts of vanillin, gallotannic acid, methyl salicylate, eugenol, rhamnetin, kaempferol, oleanolic acid, methyl amyl ketone, methyl salicylate, αhumulene, β-humulene and benzaldehyde. Studies have shown that it has strong anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimutagenic, analgesic, anesthetic, antifungal, antiviral, antimicrobial, antinociceptive and anticancer activities.

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris L.)

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris L., Lamiaceae) is an important plant with a strong, spicy taste and smell, native to the Mediterranean region of Europe. The main known components of thyme are; essential oils (borneol, carvacrol, simol, linalool and Thymol), tannin, flavonoids (apigenin and luteolin), saponins and triterpenic acids. Essential oils of T. Vulgaris have antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant effects, antispasmolytic, carminative, diaphoretic, spasmolytic, antitussive, stimulation of appetite and feed intake, improvement of the secretion of endogenous digestive enzymes, activation of the immune response, antiviral, anthelmintic secretomotor and sedative properties.

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum spp.)

The main compounds isolated and identified in cinnamon belong to two chemical classes, polyphenols and volatile phenols. Cinnamaldehyde, cinnamyl acetate and cinnamyl alcohol are the three main compounds of cinnamon. Eugenol, a phenolic compound, and cinnamaldehyde, an aromatic aldehyde, have been reported as essential oils found in cinnamon. Cinnamon's antimicrobial activity is used as a health-promoting agent in conditions such as inflammation, gastrointestinal disorders and urinary tract infections. Cinnamaldehyde, the main component of cinnamon, has antimicrobial effects on microorganisms as it inhibits cell wall biosynthesis, membrane function and specific enzyme activities.
